Club Committee

When did you first join the Club?

I originally joined Ascot Blues (which morphed into RG) 20 years ago in 2005.. I stayed for a couple of years and then spread my wings playing for other teams before returning to RG sometime around 2009/10.

When did you join the Committee?

Probably around 10+ years ago and have held numerous roles - Social Secretary, Secretary, Chairperson, General Officer and now Tournaments Officer

Main Responsibilities

All things Tournament related - Gauging Tournament interest to decide which ones we want to enter, Entering Tournaments, Drafting Teams (with help of Eric and the Captains), Tournament Sponds, Tournament Payments Admin etc.

Most Memorable Moment

Captaining Bolts in their Inaugural year and winning our very first game in the last home fixture of the Season.. I sank to my knees on the Diamond and cried I was so happy and proud!

Athlete I most look up to

Has to be Paula Radcliffe (see point below!) - The woman did so much for UK Marathon running and truly inspires me.. She's flipping amazing

Hobbies outside of Softball

Running - its my mental release.. I've run 9 Marathons to date and will make this 10 later in the year!

Music - I have a VERY eclectic taste but my current favs include RORY, Louis Dunford and Billy Bragg
Oh yeah, and I love the odd drink or 2 🙂
